Which neighbourhoods did we photograph?
The three main neighbourhoods that we photographed are Abasand, Beacon Hill, and Waterways. Within Abasand, we created three panoramas including the east portion of Abasand near Highway 63, the west end of Hangingstone Place, and the north end of River View Heights near the Athabasca River.
What can you see?
Within each neighbourhood, you can see the existing buildings and homes that were not burned to the ground, and large white spaces where there were once buildings but currently nothing. There are also views of the new construction that has started in those three neighbourhoods, and expansive views of the surrounding forest area that was burned by the beast.
Please share these panoramas with anyone that you think would benefit from seeing the rebuild progress. We’ve created social media sharing links below, or you can copy and paste this page’s address to share with your friends and family. Thank you!
